17th Ryan International Children’s Festival 2023 held in Delhi

New Delhi, Dec 19 (RBI): The Ryan Group of Schools proudly inaugurated the 17th edition of the Ryan International Children’s Festival 2023 with the theme ‘Let’s Have Fun’ at Talkatora Stadium, New Delhi. The grand opening day, held on December 13, was marked by the presence of distinguished guests, including V Muraleedharan, minister of state for external affairs & parliamentary affairs of India, Meenakshi Lekhi, minister of state for external affairs & culture of India, Dr Bharat Agrawal, Sr managing editor NDTV Group, Justice Chandra Shekhar, chairman, RERA, Virendra Sachdeva, president, BJP, Delhi, Venguswamy Ramaswamy, global head TCS iON, Arun Samuel, CMD Wings Group, Vishesh Agarwal, additional director general policing security, among others.


 

The spectacular event spread over 5 days showcased scintillating performances by both Indian and International students, setting the stage for an exciting five-day celebration of young talent and cultural diversity.  Some of the eminent guests who graced the event on different days of the festival included Ravi Kishan, Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha, Gorakhpur), Justice Rina Singh Nag, chairman Power Appellate Tribunal, Aishwarya Singh Kashyap, metropolitan magistrate, T S Kashyap, principal, Judge Family Court – Delhi, Manoj Tiwari, Member of Parliament (North East Delhi), Rajiv Shukla, Rajya Sabha, Chhattisgarh, vice president BCCI, Ashish Kundra, IAS, principal secretary-cum-commissioner (transport) Delhi government among others.

Dr Grace Pinto, managing director, Ryan Group, expressed her gratitude, stating, "We are grateful to our Lord Jesus Christ for enabling us to host events of international repute for the benefit of our young students and for his hand of protection and safety over each and every participant during the entire event. We express our heartfelt gratitude to our esteemed guests for their time, words of appreciation, and for motivating our young students from across the globe to be responsible leaders of tomorrow. We are happy that over 13000 young ambassadors have taken back home the message Family Values, Love and Unity through this international event.”

The grand event united over 13,000 children from India, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Denmark, Estonia, Italy, Czech Republic, Zambia, Slovenia, Zimbabwe, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Iran, Nepal, Bangladesh, and 16 states of India. With over 300 performances, workshops, and classroom exchanges, the festival was the ultimate international experience for students.

White T-Shirt Ceremony: A very symbolic event where the national and international students adorned in pure white T-Shirts scribbled the messages about peace and harmony on each other’s T-shirts in different languages and will carry them back home as a festival memento with universal impressions.

World Village: Children will attend the famous ‘World Village’ where the International teams will set up stalls and exchange souvenirs with Indian children. There will be various arts and crafts workshops.

The Theatre festival was made that much more special by the presence of Dr Grace Pinto, managing director; Dr Snehal Pinto, director; Sonal Pinto, director and Ryan Pinto, CEO of Ryan Group of Schools. Their presence surely motivated each and every child to give their best performance.

Over 30,000 people enjoyed the 17th Ryan International Children’s Festival hosted by the Ryan Group. The grand closing included a gala award ceremony for the winners of the competitions held during the festival.  The aim of the festival was to provide the children of the world the opportunity to come together to exchange ideas, learn about cultures and develop respect for each other.  The Ryan International Children’s Festival continues to be a beacon of inspiration for the global community, fostering creativity, collaboration, and leadership among the youth.
