Mangalore: Students of Various Colleges Give 'Expressions' to their Talent at Roshni Nilaya

Mangalore, Sep 3: School of Social Work Roshni Nilaya (autonomous), hosted a programme titled ‘Expressions – 11’ in the college auditorium on Saturday September 3.
Dr Jacinta D’Souza, principal of the college informed that the objective of organizing the event is to bring the best among students of different colleges that come under Mangalore University, as students of 14 colleges are a part of this event.
Stressing on the need for ‘prayer’ she said all should give importance for prayer and studying scriptures to see the privilege of changes in them. She also called upon the students to build a strong society only by way of having strong families in their future parenthood.
Fr Walter D’Mello, parish priest, Our Lady of Miracles Church, Milagres, inaugurated the event. Addressing the gathering he said that the event ‘Expressions’ will enhance the ability of the students to showcase their best in the society. Asserting that God extends each individual with some talent, it becomes everyone’s duty to develop their talent by participating in as many events as they come across.
Web designing, creative writing, Antyakshari, Treasure Hunt among other competitions were conducted as part of the event.
Flossy Rayappan, student welfare officer, Chaithra J Kalyanpur, president were present. The valedictory ceremony will be held in the evening at 5.30 pm. Professor H R Nataraj Urs, joint director of Collegiate Education, Mangalore will be present.
