Mumbai: Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangh Urges Members to Adhere to Professional Ethics

Mumbai, Sep 3: The third annual general body meeting of Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangh Maharastra ® was held at Billava Bhavan auditorium, Santa Cruz (East), here on Thursday September 1.  Kannada daily ‘Kannada Malla’ editor and Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangh Maharastra president Chandrashekar Palettady presided over the meeting.

He said that journalists are at the people’s service when the latter face injustice in society.  “Journalists have to be totally committed to professional ethics which will keep them in good stead at all times,” added Palettady. 

Journalists Eshwar K Poojary and Bharat Kumar Polipu were felicitated for bagging doctorates.

Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangh Maharastra honorary chief secretary Rons Bantwal said that journalists should have the objective of working within their limits for the welfare of society.  “It’s a challenging time for the journalists to be fully committed to their professions as they are easy targets of vested interests seeking to lure them for their cause. Journalists are urged to set a role model for youngsters to pursue the profession,” he urged.

Billavar Association honorary chief secretary Jyoti K Suvarna conveyed best wishes to Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangh Maharastra in achieving their set objectives.

Dayasagar Chowta said that Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangh Maharastra is steadily progressing with the contributions and commitment of its members.

Vittal S Poojary, Janardhan S Puria, Naveen K Inna, Ashok S Suvarna, Gurudutt S Poonja conveyed best wishes for the mission of Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangh Maharastra.

Silent prayers were offered for the departed souls of members. Dayasagar Chowta and Rons Bantwal presented the annual report.

Sangh vice-president and quarterly magazine ‘Konkani Mirror’ editor Sadanand D Nayak welcomed the gathering.  Executive committee member Savita Suresh Shetty proposed the vote of thanks.
