Former J&K minister sent to judicial custody till Dec 1


Jammu, Nov 18 (IANS): A CBI court here on Saturday sent former Jammu and Kashmir minister Chaudhary Lal Singh to 14 days judicial custody in a money laundering case.

The CBI court ordered judicial remand of Singh when his bail application came up for hearing.

He will be lodged in Jammu central Jail, the court ordered during the hearing in which the former minister appeared through virtual mode.

Singh was arrested by ED on November 8 in a money laundering investigation against the educational trust run by his wife and daughter.

His wife and daughter are out on interim bail which was extended by the CBI court till November 30.
