Kasargod: 400th show of Konkani film ‘Osmitay’ held at Snehalaya

Kasargod, Nov 18: The 400th show of the film Asmitay was held at the auditorium of Snehalaya here on Friday November 17.

Maxim D’ Mello, president of Mangalorean Association of Canada and his wife Prescilla D’ Mello, CA Alwyn Rodrigues, Fr Edwin Pinto, parish priest of Manjeshwar church, Fr Cyril D’Souza, Snehalaya chaplain, Eric Ozario, Mandd Sobhann gurkar and actress Vencita Dias who were on the dais wished well for the programme.

Fr Michael D’Souza, parish priest of Bola church, Saudi Friends president Navin Monteiro Manjeshwar, Joyce Ozario, Mandd Sobhan committee members Navin Lobo, Kishore Fernandes, Rony Arun, Elron Rodrigues, Vikas Lasrado, Caron Madtha, film actor Alwyn Veigas, Snehalaya trustee Olivia Crasta, Jovial Crasta and Prakash Pinto, administrator Sarita Crasta, Manager Veena and others were present.

Producer Louis Pinto welcomed. Joseph Crasta proposed a vote of thanks. Vitori Karkal compered the programme.

The film released on September 15 earlier this year with the slogan Konkani movement through film has been shown across the world through 400 shows in 13 countries for 64 days. Its shows were held today at Kuwait, Salalah – Oman and at Bharat Cinema, Mangaluru.

People who watched the film in India, UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Saudi, Qatar, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, England and Ireland have praised the film.

This was its first show in Kerala. Residents of Snehalaya, staff and neighbours were present.
