Kundapur, Nov 10: A fisherman, who fell into sea at around 16 nautical miles of Arabian Sea was rescued by fishermen from another boat. This incident occurred on Tuesday and has come to light bit late.
Around 7.30 am on Tuesday, fishermen on board of INTD-KA-03-MM-3008 owned by Abdullah which was undertaking fishing at around 16 nautical miles from Kodi LP under Gangolli police station limits, saw a person swimming in the sea. He was immediately rescued.
The rescued person said that he was on board of a fishing boat and accidentally fell into the sea due to heavy wind and rain. Due to wind and rain, he went farther from his boat and was swimming to save his life. The fishermen on Sagar boat informed the matter to Gangolli coast guard police.
The boat from which the youth fell came in search of him and the youth was sent in the same boat. Wide appreciation is given by public to the fishermen of Sagar boat who rescued the youth from likely danger.
