Mangaluru, Nov 9: The CCB Police raided a spot on Thusday, November 9, on the basis of information that two persons were illegally selling narcotic drug MDMA near National Highway 66 on K C Road at Talapady.
The police arrested the duo operating in Ullala police station limits and recovered 15 grams of banned drug MDMA, a digital weighing scale, and mobile phone handsets worth Rs 75,000.
The accused have been identified as Mustafa (37), son of P A Ahmed, a resident of Guddekeri House, Hosabettu, Manjeshwar Post, Kasaragod and Shamshuddin A (38), son of Abdul Latif, a native of Majalagudda House, Kunjathur Post, Manjheswara Village, Kasaragod and currently residing near Government School, Beeri, Kotekar, Mangaluru.
The police have seized 15 grams of MDMA drug worth Rs 75,000, an Oppo mobile phone handset of Rs 10,000, Samsung mobile phone of Rs 10,000 and a digital weighing scale, all together valued at Rs 95,000.
The operation was conducted under the guidance of Anupam Agarwal IPS, city commissioner of police, Law and Order DCP Siddhartha Goyal, and Crime and Traffic DCP Dinesh Kumar and under the direction of Mangaluru CCB Unit ACP P A Hegde.
