No, wrong assessment. Demonetization was hurriedly introduced just before UP elections. Modi led BJP, desperately wanted a win in UP state elections. Two parties SP and BSP, always bankrolled money to win votes. DeMo was to deny the money to these parties and further with fantastic support BJP earned during 2014 elections, BJP chances were great. BJP objective of winning UP polls, was achieved, but nation paid a very big price. Unemployment, joblosses, economic slowdown, inflation etc pushed the country to misery and pain. Panicked Modi led BJP, instead of correcting mistake, went on to make more mistakes and now the entire BJP govt is comedy of error. There is no going back to BJP, it will lose badly. Continuing with same errors, its country and people will suffer, big time in coming days, months and years. Way out left to people is showing exit door to BJP in all polls.
