Mangalore: Night burglars Continue to Strike, Several Shops Plundered

Mangalore, Aug 27: Seven shops including three mobiles shops, one fancy store, one scrap merchant’s shop, one general store and one electronic shop near fish market area of State Bank was targeted by the thieves and goods worth lacs were looted on Friday August 26 night.
The incident came to light when the owners of the shop came to their office this morning.
These shops are operating in the rented complex of Mangalore City Corporation. Despite the repeated theft cases since 7 years in the region no night watchman was deployed, lamented one of the shop owners.
In the fancy store belonging to one Laxmi, shutter was opened and some items were stolen. Scrap shop belongs to Abubakar and Bava Byari. General Store belongs to Nagesh Shenoy, and all the grocery items were messed up by the thieves. Electronic shop from where TV and other materials were stolen belongs to Hasanakka.
Earlier merchant had filed a case of theft in Pandeshwar police station, but it went in vein as again the thieves displayed their tactic. The exact amount of total assets stolen is yet to be estimated.
The Police visited the shops and conducted primary spot investigation. A case has been registered at Pandeshwar police station.
