Udupi, Nov 3: The Union Public Service Commission commonly abbreviated as UPSC released the consolidated list of civil services examinations of 2022. Though lacs of candidates write this examination, considered the toughest in the country, only handful clear the same.
In the UPSC examination that was held in 2022, 11 lac candidates wrote the examination but only 1022 were selected. For countless candidates, clearing the UPSC remains a dream. That too after marriage, it is very difficult as the UPSC requires highest level of determination and devotion.
Nivedita Shetty, a native of Ambagilu in the city, who is the mother of a three-year-old child, has shown that one can achieve anything if he or she has a strong will power.
Nivedita’s father Sadananda Shetty and mother Samita Shetty are residing in Udupi. Her husband Divakar Shetty is working as lecturer in Oman government technical university. Nivedita herself is a software engineer.
Nivedita did her primary schooling in Milagres School and went on to complete computer science engineering from Nitte Engineering College. When she was in the final year of her studies, she got selected for a renowned company through campus recruitment. However, Nivedita always had inclination of clearing the UPSC.
In the beginning of her career, Nivedia made preparations for the civil services examination along with her software engineering job. She used her spare time to study for the UPSC. However, she left her job later and devoted her complete time in the preparation of the UPSC and cleared the examination without any coaching in 2022.
