Mangalore, Aug 26: The 4th National Consumer Fair organised by NCF, a pioneer in organising exhibitions and trade fairs across India for over three decades now, was inaugurated by district in-charge minister Krishna J Palemar at the Karavali Utsav Ground, Mangala Stadium, on Friday August 26.
 
Gautham A K Nayar, managing director, NCF, Anand of ‘Udayavani’, former mayor Shankar Bhat, and Bhaskar Amtoor were present at the inaugural ceremony.

There are a large number of stalls at the exhibition offering huge discounts on automobiles, furniture, home appliances, kitchen appliances, fashion, footwear, toys, stationery, Ayurvedic products, health care items, handicrafts, books, food, and many others.
 
The exhibition also has over 25 amusement rides including an artificial boating lake, dragon train, Italian ‘tora-tora’, jumping frog, dashing cars, aeroplanes, ‘Titanic’, and carousels.

For the first time in Mangalore the exhibition has a large boating pool for visitors, children’s boating pool, latest amusement rides from Europe including a ‘Rodeo Bull’ and ‘Gyroscope’ for adventurous people.
 
The exhibition is open from 4 pm to 9 pm all days of the week. Entry tickets are Rs 25 per person. Students are provided concessional rates with special package tickets available at the entrance. The exhibition will be here for another 40 days.

    The water pool is huge and amazing boating in it it is a must see place the other new rides are great like the gyroscope and the dragons slide

    i feel Rs. 25/- is reasonable. What we get for such a small money. we spend lot of money in malls we are not bothered.
    Pool and boating is wonderful.

    Cloth collection is exclusively. Exhibition is reasonably well maintain. entry ticket can be Rs. 20/-

    Why will people want to spend Rs. 25/- to roam around in a dirty and suffocating place, when the same items on display here are now easily available in Air Conditioned Malls, and Big Bazaar without any entry fee!

    Gone are the days when exhibitions in Mangalore was nothing less than awe for Mangaloreans. People now are so accustomed to such exhibitions that they can even tell which stalls come where, without even having to visit it.

    And for heavens sake, a boat ride in Pilikula or Sultan Battery is way better than this silly kiddy boat ride. Local politicians have made a mockery of themselves by sitting on this ride :D

    Perhaps they should rename it to 'National Consumer FARE' :D

    PS: If it were anywhere around the Rs. 10 to 15 mark, I might have considered visiting it once, just for timepass :D

    ya the entry fee is too high .so,that-middle class people will step backward to visit this exhibition .so,keep the entry fee low so that all class people can have fun in this exhibition and more people can attract in this exhibition.

    Sir,

    The entry fee is very High. Rs. 25/= is not for ordinary people. The administration does not want people to come again and again. It wants to restrict entry only to some. Try to keep the Entry at Rs. 5.00 and attract more people to the exhibition rather than keeping a high entry fees and restricting the people.
