Margao: Borkars Publications to Release Three Konkani Books on Aug 27

Margao, Aug 22: Borkar’s Production and Publication (BPP) will release three Konkani books, a collection of short stories and children literature, at hotel Woodlands, here on August 27.

After receiving a good feedback from music lovers for their first music venture ‘Saibhakti’, a devotional music album, now BPP has published three books by four different writers. This includes “Mangallsutra’, a collection of short stories penned by Sanjay Borkar and “Jaadwachi Harshi’, a collection of children’s short stories by him. Also a third book “Raanpisaam’, which is an anthology of children’s short stories, monologue and poems, are penned by noted writer and poetess Nayana Adarkar, Branda Menezes and Saraswati Naik.

According to BPP there is a need to give good literature to children and they will stress for same in future too. This time with a unique idea to give short stories, monologues and poems in one book they have published a book named “Raanpisaam’.

Sandesh Prabhudesai, editor in chief of ‘Prudent Media’, will be present as chief guest of the function. Vinod Shetya, former manager of daily
Sunaparant and Sudesh Naik, headmaster of government high school-Sadollashe, Cancona will be present as guest of honor.

Noted writer and linguist Damodar Ghanekar will preside over the function.

In October BPP will be releasing book of six writers consisting short stories and also books for children.
