Udupi, Aug 22: The India Against Corruption movement led by Gandhian and civil society activist Anna Hazare has swept across every nook and corner of India like never before.
While Anna is continuing his fast against corruption and demanding the implementation of the Jan Lokpal Bill, his supporters and followers around the country have been developing innovative ways to show their support.
In Manipal here, artists of Manipal Sand Art led by Venki Palimar and Srinat Manipal created a clay sculpture depicting Anna Hazare's ongoing crusade against corruption in the country.
The clay sculpture was displayed at Manipal bus stand here, on Sunday August 21.
The sculpture also includes a depiction of the evil of corruption, which the artists have equated with terrorism. With slogans against corruption affixed to the sculptures, the artists aim to do their bit in not only supporting Hazare but enlightening the people about the rampant corruption in the country.
As it was displayed at the bus stand, several people gathered to view the art and appreciated the creativity of the artists and applauded their efforts, besides posing for the lensmen.
