Puttur, Oct 8: The carcass of a calf was found on the branch of a tree of a rubber plantation at Arthadka near Kaniyarumale reserve forest of Keyyur village.
Forest department did not confirm the news. Some parts of the body were found eaten up. Forest officials visited the spot.
It is suspected that leopard might have taken the carcass on top of the tree. Members of the public are urging forest department officials to take action as various parts of Keyyur village is affected by wild animal attacks.
