Colombo, Aug 20: Sri Lanka made a tremendous comeback in the third ODI against Australia a couple of days back, proving all who had predicted Australia's victory wrong.
The victory was largely thanks to a great opening partnership between Taranga and captain Dilshan, and their other top order batsmen who are back to form.
But the man who turned the tables on Australia with his deadly spell was Lasith Malinga.
Looking ahead to the fourth ODI, Sri Lanka needs to keep the same spirit to keep the series alive. Today's fourth ODI is a make-or-break for the home team, and they need a repeat of their performance in the third ODI.
Though the Australian top order is doing well, its allrounders Brad Haddin, David Hussey and Steve Smith are yet to come up with good knocks. Perhaps the fourth ODI would be a perfect platform for them to prove their mettle.
Captains' say prior to fourth ODI:
Clarke : "I think it will be slower than the other ones and take a little more turn. We would have batted too. Shaun Marsh has come in for Steven Smith. I believe it is the right combination for this game. I think 250 will be a good score here.
Dilshan: "We are going to bat first. IT will help the spinners. If we can put runs on the board and then it will not be easy to bat later on. Jeevan Mendis is not playing, we have brought in another leg spinner."
