Udupi, Oct 3: MLA Yashpal Suvarna urged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to stop playing with the lives of Hindus and provide justice to all the six crore Kannadigas.
Suvarna said, “It is really laughable that the Shivamogga incident is reported in media throughout the world but has not come to the notice of our home minister. This shows how the government is giving attention to the law and order of the state."
“VHP will hold a mammoth programme in Udupi on October 10. Police department has issued instructions to remove all banners related to Shivamogga riots throughout the district. However, I have met the SP. I have appealed to him to give us an opportunity to hold the Samajotsava like before. We have respect towards him. He has assured us to verify my appeal and take necessary action," he said.
“The law and order situation is chaotic in the state. Hindus are assaulted through PFI and other organizations in many parts of the state including Shivamogga. Do not play with the lives and emotions of Hindus," Suvarna said.
“Today they think that their government is in power. This means that there is no difference between Congress and PFI. So they are behaving in a lacklustre manner. Government is not saying anything on the subject," he said.
“Hindu society of Udupi is united. We know how to retaliate if anything happens to our society. Excepting law and order there is a shortage of staff in all other departments. Government is not cooperating with the development of the district.”
