Mangaluru, Sep 25: Sumant (18), son of Sundara Kunder, a resident of 10th Thokur under Mulky police station limits has gone missing since September 15. His clothes, mobile and footwear were found on the dam near Haleangady.
Sumant was doing into daily wage work. On September 15, he told his family members that he is going to his grandmother’s house at Kornagrapady. However, he did not reach there and is not found anywhere. His parents filed complaint with Mulky police station.
On Sunday, his cloth, vest, mobile and sandals that were kept in a plastic pouch were found in a mud mound below Chelyar railway dam at Haleangady. Mulky police have taken the same into their custody.
As Sumant went missing, people who saw him in Udupi had called his family and informed them. His mobile phone location was Udupi before going into switched-off mode. Search for Sumant did not yield any result. Now, the finding of his belongings have turned the case to a curious mode.
