London, Aug 16: India's humiliating defeat against the English team and the subsequent loss of the number one position in test cricket has had coach Duncan Fletcher worried.
Fletcher is now reportedly looking for youngsters who can handle the pressure and demands of test cricket.
"I am especially looking at the young guys and trying to assess if they have character to handle Test cricket," he told the 'Sunday Telegraph'.
"I'm trying to settle in and see characters of individuals," Fletcher said.
According to the newspaper, Fletcher is worried about who would take over the reigns of Indian cricket after greats like Tendulkar, Dravid and Laxman retire.
Youngsters like Abhinav Mukund, who played in two of the three tests in the series, and Suresh Raina did not make much impact in the series. The Indian team was also marred by injuries which added to its worries.
