In dire straits - Team India need a desperate change in the scheme of things, how that's going to happen is the big question.
Pitch report, Day 3:
'232 runs ahead, 7 wickets in hand, is there anything in the pitch that will help India take the remaining wickets? ' asks Sunil Gavaskar. Yes, there is some hope, there will be spin, the cracks will widen up and with a lot of footmarks, the bowlers will come into play. But, not right away says Sourav Ganguly. So, we are in for another day where batsmen will hold the upper hand.
Wretched and Torturous!
Wretched and Torturous! - Two words that can describe India's performance and mindset at the end of day 2. Nothing went right for them since the start. Strauss and Cook batted on till Lunch before Mishra sent Strauss back for 87.
Cook carried on and he scored his 19th Test century to come back in form. Bell looked in great touch before he was cleaned up by a beauty of a delivery from Praveen Kumar.
Pietersen continued his great form before PK's hard work was rewarded with his dismissal. The toil did not end for India as Morgan batted with confidence.
India's cause was not helped by two dropped chances of Dravid and one by Sreesanth. The drop by Dravid in the last over summed up the whole tour so far for India. England are firmly in the driver's seat and India need nothing short of a miracle to turn this game around. Join us tomorrow for all the action that takes place.
