Mangaluru, Sep 7: Lourdes Central School (LCS) believes in the dictum comforting the afflicted and helping the needy. As part of the festive season and LCS silver jubilee year, the school had organised LCS Charity Mission with an aim to teach every Lourdite to hone charitable skills. There were class wise assemblies conducted to inculcate the value of charity in students. The Charity mission was inaugurated on September 1 and continued till September 6.
The assemblies conducted aimed to develop the values of humanism, generosity, friendship and charity. Students learnt that through these values they can bring a smile on the faces of the less fortunate and it is the golden thread that ties people together.
The students from pre-KG to class 12 brought a variety of groceries, stationery items, sanitary items etc to donate them to the needy ones of different ashrams and old age homes in the city.
The students actively participated in this mission full of love, excitement, and care and showed their generosity without expecting any hope of praise or reward.
Overall, the LCS Charity Mission was a grand success which achieved the aim of giving the greatest act of grace.
