Udupi: Fisherman falls into sea, dies despite rescue attempt by colleague

Udupi, Sep 3: A fisherman died as he slipped from the boat while fishing in sea two nautical miles from Malpe fishing port on August 31.

Manoj San (32), native of Jharkand, is the deceased.

Manoj fell into the sea while fishing. Keerthan who was on the boat along with Manoj, immediately dived into the sea and brought Manoj up.

However, Manoj was severely ill due to the fall and succumbed on the way to hospital.

A case in this connection is registered in Malpe police station.
