Mangaluru: Orientation programme held for freshers at Srinivas College of Pharmacy

Mangaluru, Sep 1: Orientation programme for a fresh batch of Srinivas College of Pharmacy students was held on September 1 at Valachil campus.

Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao, president, A Shama Rao Foundation & chancellor, Srinivas University, Mangaluru has exhorted the students to develop a positive attitude, do hard work and gain knowledge for achieving success in life while delivering presidential remarks on the orientation day programme. Dr A Srinivas Rao, pro chancellor, Srinivas University and vice president, A Shama Rao Foundation, Mangaluru, has appreciated the newly admitted pharmacy students for having chosen pharmacy as their career and encouraged them to excel in pharmacy profession. He has advised the students to approach the faculty members for proper counselling and guidance.

Dr A R Shabaraya, principal welcomed the gathering and called budding pharmacists to do hard work and strive to excel continuously to achieve the goal. Viresh K Chandur, associate professor, gave a presentation of the profession of pharmacy, detailing course content with rules, regulations, outlined its scope and assured the parents about the safety of their wards. Students who had taken admission accompanied by their parents attended the programme and expressed their views on the quality of the academic programmes imparted by the Srinivas college of Pharmacy.

Dr Padmavathi P Prabhu and Fmith Celvia anchored the programme. Dr EVS Subrahmanyam, professor, Srinivas College of Pharmacy detailed about the pharmacy profession and proposed vote of thanks.
