Will be Very Disappointed If Not Picked for Third Test: Bresnan

London, Aug 3 (IANS): Star of the Trent Bridge Test Tim Bresnan says he will be "very disappointed" if he is not picked in the England side for the third Test at Edgbaston, beginning Aug 10.

The fast bowling all-rounder was drafted into the side after Chris Tremlett picked up a hamstring injury during nets before the second Test.

With Tremlett expected to fit for the third Test, selectors face a tough task in choosing the playing eleven. It will be difficult for them to ignore Bresnan, who hit a 90-run knock and took a five-wicket haul during England's 319-run win at Trent Bridge.

"I think I definitely grabbed my chance with both hands. And that is pretty much all I can do now," said Bresnan Tuesday.

"It is up to the selectors, the captain or whoever is going to make the decision to pick the side for the next game."

"It is going to be a tough decision, someone is going to have to miss out and someone is going to be very disappointed, and I hope it isn't me."

Bresnan said the selection dilemma suggests English cricket is in a good state.

"It is a good position for English cricket really and I have said this all along, if you have got a stable of bowlers to choose from, then it is going to give the selectors a headache and thankfully that is not my problem and I don't have to worry about that."

"It was a phenomenal game to play in and it felt immense to have got the five wickets, which will give me a lot of confidence going forward."

Interestingly, England have won all the eight Test matches in which Bresnan has played.

"Tim has played eight, won eight and it's a stat he isn't afraid to mention to me," said England team director Andy Flower.
