Mumbai, Aug 1: After a gap of around five years, Konkani singing legend the late Wilfy Rebimbus' melodious hits will be relived in Mumbai this October.
Henry D'Silva Suratkal, a well-known event organiser, writer and Konkani activist has taken the lead to ferry a 25-member troupe from Mangalore to present 'Wilfy Nite' in Mumbai.
Shows will be presented during the Diwali season from October 25. The exact dates have not been fixed, but according to the organisers, at least five shows will be presented across popular areas of Mumbai.

The team will consist of Meena Rebimbus, Vishwas, Claud D'Souza, Prem Kumar, Ivan Sequeira and others. The shows will be compered by Leslie Rego.

Wilfy Rebimbus passed away on March 9, 2010. In April 2011 for the first time after his demise a tribute in the form of a musical show was organised in Mangalore, which received appreciation from the fans of the Konkan Kogull.
The speciality of the show will be that apart from Wilfy's compositions, new songs penned and composed by Veena Pais and Vishwas Rebimbus will also be presented.
