Bengaluru, Jul 22: The state government has given the go ahead to increase the price of Nandini milk by Rs three per litre from August 1.
The Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) has placed a proposal to increase the price of milk by Rs five per litre. However, chief minister Siddaramaiah agreed to Rs three hike. KMF president Bheema Naik said that the hiked amount of Rs 3 should go to the milk producers. Siddaramaiah held a meeting with all the milk federations in the state and president of the KMF.
KMF president Bheema Naika, cooperative minister K N Rajanna, animal husbandry minister K Venkatesh, N Prasad, Salma Fahim and Jagadish were present.
