Karkala: Man accused of abetment to suicide of woman in bank hangs himself

Karkala, Jul 20: Santhosh, alias Haritanaya Devadiga, who was allegedly blackmailing the deceased Pramila, an employee of Mahila cooperative society on Karkala Market Road, demanding Rs 3 lac from her, has committed suicide by hanging.

Pramila, a bank staff member, was mentally exhausted from his harassment and tragically took her own life inside the bank on July 14.

Following this incident, Pramila's brother filed a complaint at Karkala police station, and investigations were underway.

Santhosh had been missing since Saturday and was later found deceased at Eedu Mapalu cultivation.

His body was found in a decomposed state, indicating that he might have committed suicide two days ago. Santhosh is survived by his wife and a male child.

    It brought no luck to both.Very sad:First of all a married man with a kid made life of another woman hell.She couldnt tolerate this and committed suicide.She could have gone for a counselling to someone close friend instead of suicide or go to police to complain.Things went out of hand ,accused one who is married must have only to escape through suicide.Never he thought of his small child who has to grow up without father.Please anyone who in future are in such a situation please go to a person who can give advice for a better escape instead of suicide.May their soul rest in peace.Heartfelt sympathy to their families.

    Human mind can be very violent, sadist by nature & can think dirty on any one!!! But most of those feelings goes unnoticed as it gets filtered out, while expressing it in public, for the fear of getting judged by others & it's consequences! Here the Man tried his sadist weapon on the lady, who couldn't take it & committed suicide. Surprised by her action & for the fear of social stigma man committed suicide..

    Suicide is no solution to life's problems. There is no issue that cant solved through counselling , Lets not resort to suicide
