Kaup, Jul 16: A man who had been separated from his family for two years due to mental illness has been joyfully reunited with them, thanks to the efforts of social worker Vishu Shetty. Shetty rescued the man and ensured he received the necessary medical treatment.
The person in question is Prabhakara (53), originally from Kolar. He was found wandering in Kaup, drenched in heavy rain. Observing his condition, Vishu Shetty promptly arranged for his admission to Baliga Hospital. During the course of their interaction, Prabhakara was able to recall his home address. Vishu Shetty took the initiative to contact his family members, and Prabhakara's wife, son, and brother traveled to Udupi where they were overjoyed to finally reunite with him. They expressed their immense relief and mentioned that they had been desperately searching for him.
Prabhakara, a graduate and former president of a panchayat, was known for his social work. Unfortunately, he developed mental illness for certain reasons, leading him to become a homeless individual.
Prabhakara has a 13-year-old daughter and an 11-year-old son. The family expressed deep gratitude to Vishu Shetty and the entire team involved in this compassionate act of goodwill.
