Mangaluru, Jul 4: Incessant heavy rains continue to wreak havoc in Mangaluru and its surrounding areas. The coastal region has been grappling with intense rainfall, thunderstorms, and lightning for the past few days. As the situation worsens, a red alert has been declared by the Department of Meteorology from the afternoon of July 4 until 8:30 am on July 5.
Adding to the chaos caused by the relentless downpour, a tree fell on the house of Tharanath at Jayanagar, Jalligudde, Bajal on Wednesday, July 5. The impact of the falling tree also damaged an auto-rickshaw parked in front of the house. Local corporator Ashraf Bajal has taken charge of the operation to remove the fallen tree and ensure the safety of the affected residents.
