Brahmavar: Vidyanikethan Public School celebrates International Yoga Day

Brahmavar, Jun 22: Vidyanikethan Public School, Bhramavar celebrates International Yoga Day on June 21, with the message of 'Vasudaiva Kutumbakam'.

Dr Pavithra Kumar, yoga and naturopathic doctor, chief guest of the programme on the occasion said, “Yoga is culture of ancient India. Yoga is a science, along with physical fitness it also provide peace to the mind, and removes all the negative thoughts from mind."

George Kurian, principal, took vow of yoga from students and stated, “Yoga creates unity, for healthy heart, for humanity and peace yoga is needed."

Prakashchandra Shetty, president of school working committee appreciated school for teaching yoga as part of their syllabus in the beginning of academic year, and mentioned how yoga helps in studies.

More than 1000 students participated in the event. Students were asked questions related to yoga and essay competition was arranged for students.

The school teaching staff and students were present.
