Mangalore Super Series : State Level Badminton Tourney from Aug 6

Mangalore, Jul 22: Mangala Sports Pvt Ltd, a registered non-profit private limited company working towards the development of sports at the grass root level, will organize a state level open badminton Tournament here in the brand name ‘Mangalore Super Series – 2011’ on August 6 and 7 from 9 am to 10 pm.
Undoubtedly, Mangalore Super Series is a best ever opportunity for the budding badminton players to showcase their inherent ability.
The Mangala Sports Pvt Ltd promotes recreational, middle school, collegiate and professional badminton leagues throughout the Dakshina Kannada, Coorg, Shimoga and Udupi district.
The Mangalore Super Series – 2011 includes students, men’s, women’s single and doubles matches and nearly 400 to 500 players will participate in the event across the state, and are categorised as follows:
Inter-district (DK, Udupi, Shimoga, Coorg) Under 13- Boys and Girls- Singles and Doubles; Under 15- Boys- Singles and Doubles; Under 17- Boys and Girls- Singles and Doubles; Under 19- Boys and Girls- Singles and Doubles and Mixed Doubles.
State level open- Men’s and Women’s- Singles and Doubles; Above 45- Mens- Singles and Doubles. This tournament will be conducted in Sri U S Mallya Indoor Stadium, Ladyhill, here. The mega event will be telecasted live in a local channel and also a national sports channel. There will be a huge gathering of 3,000 delegates per match.
About 2,500 student viewers from nearby schools and colleges, 500 parents and friends of players, 500 invitees and many more are expected to witness this grand tournament.
Last date for registration is August 4 with entry fees and registration form with age proofs. Winners and runners-up will get Cash Prizes, Trophies and Certificates.
