Dubai, Jul 21: Milagreans Gulf Association (MGA) Dubai has announced the Milagreans Photography
Contest 2011 to recognize the outstanding use of photography by Amateur Photographers. The MGA's objective of holding the photo contest is to gather stunning photographs profiling the theme from around the globe.
The themes of the competition are Friends, Family and Nature which is open for global participants too.
The contestants can post their photos to Milagreans Gulf Association facebook page, entries can also be sent to milagreansgulf@gmail.com. The contest is already open on facebook with over 170 entries posted by contestants and the last date to submit your photographs shall be August 15.
The top 15 photos selected by the judging panel will be available for public voting. And three winning photographs will be chosen by public voting on facebook and Milagreans Association's website, winning photographs will be the ones getting highest number of likes on facebook.
The top three winners will be awarded a Canon Digital Camera as first prize, I-Pod Shuffle as second prize and Perfumes & Cosmetic Set as third prize.
Rules of the competition are that - all participants should be at least 18-year-old, regardless of
residence or citizenship. The Images submitted must belong to the sender or under the permission of the original photographer. The participant is responsible for obtaining the necessary releases from the individuals if a photo depicts people. All photographs should be accurate those digitally altered beyond standard optimization will be disqualified. A caption must accompany all submissions, and should include the subject of the image, the location where image was taken, and the name of the otographer. Judges' decision is final and they are righteous to remove any picture from the contest based on rules.
