Puttur, May 4: City police arrested two more men with regards to the moral rowdyism incident that occurred on Tuesday. The number of people arrested in the case has risen to four.
Mohammed Farish (18), a resident of Mareel Kadumane, was severely attacked by a group of men when he was with a Hindu girl. Farish received deep bruises on his body due to the vicious assault.
Farish and the Hindu girl who was with him are students of Kabaka government college. Both had watched a movie in the theatre of a mall in the city. Later, they went to drink fruit juice at a shop near the bus stand, when the group attacked the youth. Injured Farish was admitted to the government hospital for treatment.
Police arrested Pradeep S (19), a resident of Darbethadka Sirtaje of Olamogru village earlier. Other accused in the case Dinesh Gowda (25), from Tingaladi in Kedambadi village, Nishant Kumar G (19), from Guthumane and Prajwal (23), a resident of Kottaru Mane of Aryapu village were later arrested by the police.
