Puttur: ‘How to Plan for Startup- Legal & Ethical Steps’ guest lecture held at St Philomena College

Puttur, May 3: The dDepartment of computer science and institution’s Innovation Council of St Philomena College jointly organised a guest lecture on the topic ‘How to Plan for Startup- Legal and Ethical Steps’.

Madhuranath, marketing head of Slang Lab Bengaluru participated as resource person. In the course of his introductory remarks, he opined, "It is a welcome thing that the youth of today is dreaming of establishing a business firm and thereby providing job opportunities. To take forward such enterprise there should be a team of like-minded people and also deep knowledge on what is in the process." He appreciated the efforts of St Philomena College in kindling interest in the young minds about startups.

Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro presided over the programme and said in his presidential remarks that startups are strong supporting components in the development of the nation. "It is necessary to provide necessary positive response to the changing demands of people. One should know how to exploit the available resources in a productive manner and also it is important to be bold enough to face any challenges which crop up in the journey of entrepreneurship," he said. 

In the course of guest lecture after the formal programme, the resource person gave insight into ‘How to start a business firm?' What are the legal and ethical challenges which are to be faced? What is the secret of running a successful business? What all kinds of monetary support could be received in case of a Startup? All these queries were answered along with connected examples.

Samruddhi Shenoy and team rendered prayer. President of institution’s Innovation Council Geetha poornima welcomed. Vinayachandra, dean of department of computer science proposed vote of thanks. Rajeshwari, department of computer science compered the programme. Coordinator of institution’s Innovation Council Abhishek Suvarna, department of BBA was present.
