Mangaluru, Apr 29: Union home minister Amit Shah carried out a road show in the city on Saturday April 29 as part of the BJP’s campaign for the upcoming state Assembly elections.
Large number of people, BJP supporters gathered to witness the road show campaign.
Tight security was beefed up for the road show. The road show started from Clock Tower via K S Rao road and concluded at Govind Pai Circle at PVS.
Shah was accompanied by MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, Mangaluru South sitting MLA Vedavyas Kamath, BJP district president Sudarshan Moodbidri and many other leaders.
The union home minister was given a rousing welcome in Mangaluru by his supporters. His arrival for the campaign will be a boost for the BJP ahead of the elections.
Throughout the road show, several supporters thronged in raising pro-BJP slogans.
Shah was welcomed with the beats of drums and tiger dance. The union minister was seen throwing flower petals to his supporter throughout the road show. Also, a huge garland was brought in a crane for Shah.
