Mangaluru: 'Jashan 2023' held at AJ Institute of Management

Mangaluru, Apr 25: 'Jashan 2023', patriotic songs and dance competition was held at AJ Institute of Management, a unit of Laxmi memorial education trust on the occasion of 75 years of celebration.

Leftinant cornel N Sharath Bhandary, retired army official Mangaluru was the chief guest for the valedictory ceremony. Speaking on the occasion he said, “Youths should join army and take part in the nation building. It will also help in reducing the unemployment problem."

“Participating in co curricular activities will help in maintaining mental and physical health,” said Vidhushi Srilath Nagaraj, dance instructor Sanatana nrutyalaya Mangaluru.

Dr T Jayaprakash Rao, director presided over the function. In his message to the youth he said, “This is a model programme which is being held every year in our institution."

Prashanth Shetty, vice president Laxmi memorial education trust Ashritha P Shetty, director were present on the occasion.

The winners of the competitions were awarded with cash prize and trophies.

First place was bagged by Poornaprajna evening college Udupi, second place Laxmi memorial college of nursing Mangaluru, nad Besant college Mangaluru won the third prize.

Prof Chethan Kumar, student council advisor introduced the guest. Prof Shruthi K read the report. Prof Ganavi KK read out the names of the winners.

Savitrirama rao, judge Prof HG Nagaraj Nayak, co-ordinator Prof Sleema Pinto, Prof Soumya Shetty, and student coordinators Sreesha and Deekshitha I were present on the dais.

Prof Roshel D’costa, programme coordinator proposed the vote of thanks. Amulya Shaji and Salomi Rodrigues compered the programme.
