Dubai : Award for Mangalorean Domestic Caretaker Announced

Dubai, Jul 5: The Mukamar Parishioners Association popularly known as 'Little Flower' are now planning to honour 'Best Mangalorean Domestic Caretaker' among UAE based, Mangalorean domestic care takers here on September 30 2011.
The 'Kutma Sangathi' award is to be bestowed on a Mangalorean Domestic care taker who has served the longest period with one Mangalorean based family in UAE.
President of Mukamar Association said that the idea of issuing the award is to identify and honour individuals who initially started off as domestic helpers but later became a part of the family.
"In a time where ample numbers of cases are reported in connection with abuse on domestic care takers , we can not forget the fact that there are families who respect and look after them as their own 'Kutma Sangathi' (family member)." he said.
The award would be conferred on 30th September 2011 on the first Anniversary of Little Flower Association Mukamar to be held in Al Zomordh Building (party hall), Karama here.
Cash Prize, Memento and complementary gifts will also be awareded to the winner.
Rules and Regulations
1. Domestic care taker to have served longest period with single Mangalorean family Till date can apply .
2. The contest is open to all Konkani speaking Manglorean women around UAE.
3. The form can be filled eighter in English or Konkani
4. Nominations to be submitted by September 1 2011.
5. Little flower committee decision will be the final
