Dubai: M’lorean Silvy Wins Just Dance Middle East Contest

Dubai, Jul 3: Silvy Coutinho, who hails from Mangalore, emerged as the winner of dance contest – ‘Just Dance Middle East’ organized by Star Middle East & Emirates Vision at Sheikh Rashidh auditorium, here.
Silvy Coutinho is a daughter of Latha and late Anthony Coutinho, sister 10 year-old Deeksha and is married to Rithesh Rsario Penha. Born on August 13, 1987 at Padil, Mangalore Silvy is currently employed with Arabital Shipping LLC, here in Dubai.
Passion for Dance, Achievements
Silvy began dancing at the age of five and has been performing for Ocean Kids group for the past nine years. She has won numerous awards since she started dancing, including first prize at the state-level dance competition in 2002 in Mangalore, Dubai Nach Baliye-4 title and now she is crowned the best dancer at Just Dance Middle East contest.
The talented dancer has performed with famous Malayalam actors and singers like Mohan Lal, Dilip, Kalabhavan Mani, Vijay Yesudas, Rimi Tomy, and Chitra Aiyar, as well as Hindi TV stars and Bollywood singers like Hussain and Tina (winners of ‘Nach Baliye-2006’),Udit Narayan, Usha Uthup, Alka Yagnik,V asundara Das, Remo Fernandes, Abhay, Shreya Goshal, Preeti Jhangiani, Hariharan, and Jhony Lever, and Kannada and Konkani singers and actors including Wilfy Rebimbus, Henry D’Souza, Guru Kiran, Sudeep, Vijay Ragavendra, Ruchitha Prasad, Shivaraj Kumar, S P Balasubramaniam, and Claude.
Among the 200 contestants who participated in the auditions 20 were chosen for the Just Dance Middle East competition and Silvy proved her excellence by performing extremely well and winning the competition. Silvy remains grateful to all her friends, well-wishers for their overwhelming support, Ocean Kids dance group headed by Vinod Sequiera and Pramod (Dubai and India), and especially her husband Rithesh Penha who always supported her and the organizers of the event headed by ''Emirates Vision'' John Mathew.
