Mangalore: Anisha Fernandes Crowned St Agnes 'Fresh Face of 2011'

Mangalore, Jul 2: Well begun is half done. The student cabinet of St Agnes College Mangalore, had their first event 'Fresh Face of the Year 2011' from June 27 to July 1, intended to make all the freshers feel at home.
The event involved a series of competitions conducted by the student cabinet and presided over by Saudamini Chandarana.
Events were conducted faculty-wise under the leadership of the student vice-presidents. Student vice-president for arts faculty Analiza Jones, along with her secretaries conducted events like mock press, pick and speak, spell bee, talent show and treasure hunt.
Marketing, HR case analysis, entrepreneurial development and stall competition was conducted by the student vice-president for commerce Melora Pais and her band of secretaries.
The science vice-president Sindhu Serao with the assistance of the secretaries of the science department organized pick and speak, memory tests, rapid fires, discoveries and energizing events. Guided by the BBM vice-president Rashmi Kotian and her secretaries, street play, market your money, case analysis and other events were conducted.
A jam session and a stress interview were the final highlights of the week.
The finalists from each faculty had to then compete with each other in a stress interview round after which Anisha Fernandes was crowned by last year's winners Akansha Hebbar, as the ‘Fresh Face of the Year 2011-12’.
The finalists were given sashes and adjudged as:
Fresh face litigator of the arts stream: Anjali.
Fresh face doctrate of the science stream: Jazeera
Fresh face best manager from the management faculty: Diya
Fresh face best CEO for BCom: Anisha
