Bantwal, Apr 4: Checkpoints have been set up as part of the election model code of conduct.
In addition to the permanent check post, additional checkpoints will be established for internal routes, including those previously left out. IG West Zone stated that paramilitary forces will be called in within the next two days to establish checkpoints.
Dr. Chandragupta, who visited Vitla police station on Tuesday, held a public meeting, inspected various border areas' check stations, and spoke to the media in the context of the upcoming election.
Regarding the police stations' establishment, Dr Chandragupta said that a station or an outstation is opened regularly for the public's convenience. Checkposts are present at Nellikatte and Anekallu, and only authorized personnel should conduct checks at Kanyan. He stated that the purpose of setting up the Kanyana outer police station and inspection center at a separate location will be investigated, and necessary action will be taken.

The inspection process has already started and will be more stringent in the next few days. Upgrading the station will ensure prompt access to services. He added that with the increase in staff, their scope of work will improve in two to three years.
Dakshina Kannada District SP Vikram Amate, DySP Pratap Singh Torat, Vittala Police Station Officer Nagaraj HE, Vittal Police Station SI Sandeep Kumar Shetty, and police Officer Varga were present during the visit.
