The Royal Institute of Music and Arts was established by two Mangalorean sisters Sylvia and Dorothy as a small venture, which has now grown into a popular institute of music and arts to impart good music education to the aspiring children in this community of Abu Dhabi. And today it has established itself as the leading music institute in Abu Dhabi, a music school that has for the last 12 years molded talented children in their pursuit for music excellence.
It was a swell celebration and had a scinitillating performance by the little ones in varying age groups and they performed very precisely and professionally. Every item was spell binding and the parents were indeed quite pleased with the change they saw in their respective wards.
It was indeed a magical moment and created happy memories, reverberating with music, laughter and friendship. An event like this cannot be organised overnight. The wheels had started rolling weeks ago. In spite of this difficult time of the year with academic exams and music exams and little time at their disposal, these children strived to bring out their best to entertain and the encouragement/appreciation received from the audience was the proof.
The event was compered by Ruchika Kalra who was recently crowned Miss Beauty at the India Social and Cultural Centre pageant in Abu Dhabi. She did an excellent job of keeping the act together with her wit and charm.
The icing on the cake was the grand finale "I Am But a Small Voice – Yesterday's Dream", the masterpiece of the entire presentation with all the participants in various national costumes, which concluded the evening on a very promising positive note. This concert will be remembered by many who attended as one of the most unique one - an encouragement for the young artistes of the future.
