Mumbai, Jun 28: SSC toppers of Narayan Guru Night High School were felicitated by the Billavara Association during a function held at the Narayan Guru Mandir, here recently. The association has been supporting poor students hailing from undivided Dakshina Kannada district.

Honorary editor of the Akshaya bulletin donated a gold medal to the school topper Arun Mogaveera who was felicitated by Billavara Association president Jaya C Suvarna. Vasudev Gowda and Bharat Poojary, the other toppers were also felicitated on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Jaya C Suvarna congratulated the students on their academic performance at the SSC examination.

The School sub-committee president Bannanje Ravindra Amin, honorary secretary and headmaster C Ramachandrayya, teacher Ashwini Pratapchandra, M I Badiger, Siddaram Dasmani, Vimala D S, Shivanand Patel and Hema E Gowda were honoured during the programme.

Vice-presidents of the association M B Kukyan, L V Amin, Nityanand D Kotian, C T Salian, honorary chief secretary Jyoti K Suvarna, Bharat Co-operative Bank directors Mohan G Poojary, N Nityanand, Shankar D Poojary and women wing vice-president S Poojary among others were also present.
