Mangaluru/Udupi, Mar 29: Four police officials have been awarded the CM's medal from the coastal districts of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi for 2022. They are Santhosh Kumar K and Manikanta from Dakshina Kannada while Naveenchandra Jogi and Rajendra Nayak from Udupi are the other recipients of the CM's medal.
Naveenchandra Jogi, who has been working in Sullia as circle inspector since the last three years after having worked as Intelligence Inspector has cracked several cases during his service. Jogi, who hails from Udupi-Kaup, has been transferred just a few days back to Chikkamagaluru ahead of the upcoming Assembly polls.
The second recipient of the CM's medal from Udupi district is Rajendra Nayak M N, who hails from Shivamogga district. He is presently working as a sub-inspector in Coastal Security police station of Hejamady. After having joined the police force 12 years ago, he moved to Hejamady about six months ago from Hosanagara.
Among the two recipients from Dakshina Kannada, Santhosh Kumar K, works as a sub-inspector in Mangaluru south traffic station while the other recipient of the CM's medal is Manikanta who works as a head constable in the DCP Traffic office of Mangaluru.
Santhosh Kumar, a resident of Bajal Pallakere joined the police force in 1993 and has worked in Kundapur, Barke, Puttur, Pandeshwar and Kadri. He had won several medals during his service in DCIB.
Manikanta, a resident of Mandarabaila in Mangaluru, joined police service in 2000 and has served in Puttur rural, Mangaluru port, Pandeshwar. Urwa, Barke and Western Traffic police stations.
