Mumbai, Jun 23: Seniors from in and around Navi Mumbai attended a musical evening organized for the inmates of Ashraya, home for the senior citizens here recently.
The programme commenced with the host Chitra Melmane welcoming the gathering.
Chief guest of the occasion Suresh Haware of Haware construction company, guest of honor Harish Shetty of Mahesh tutorials and a trustee of Shanishwar temple Ramesh Poojary were felicitated by the president Dr S S Rao, Laxmish Acharya and Chiplunkar respectively.
Haunting numbers from Mahal, Ina Meena diga , Mai Hun Zum Zum Zumroo and many more were performed at the occasion.
The Bombay South Kanara Brahmin Association (BSKB) which manages Ashraya , often conducts activities to keep the senior citizens happy and occupied during their stay there. The musical evening was one among them.
