Mangalore: Meena Rebimbus Inaugurates 'Rebimbus Creations'

Mangalore, Jun 19: Sunday June 19 being International Father's Day, Vishwas Rebimbus, singer and son of Konkani legend the late Wilfy Rebimbus, dedicated his new venture 'Rebimbus Creations' to his father.
'Rebimbus Creations' is a creative venture which displays and sells all the works of Wilfy Rebimbus, all his musical CDs, books of his Konkani lyrics, plays, short stories and special greetings cards.
Rebimbus Creations will also have specially designed cards for all occasions like weddings, Christening, first communion, anniversaries, jubilees and other social functions and celebrations. They will also have designer take-aways, given for guests attending important functions, a trend which is prevalent in bigger cities like Mumbai but is slowly finding acceptance in Mangalore.
Meena Rebimbus, populary known as 'Konkan Maina' and top Konkani female singer and wife of the legend Wilfy formally inaugurated the new venture by cutting the ribbon, opposite St Joseph's Poor Homes, St Joseph Nagar, Jeppu, near Wilfy's residence 'Magdelije'.
Leslie Rego, compere of the programme welcomed the gathering and briefed about the new venture of Vishwas and Charleen Rebimbus.
Fr Nelson Almeida, parish priest of St Joseph Church, Jeppu blessed the premises and conducted the prayer ceremony.
Fr Joseph Martis, rector St Joseph Seminary also blessed and read out the Bible message on the occasion.
Walter Nandalike, editor-in-chief of daijiworld.com conveyed best wishes to the Vishwas- Charleen and Rebimbus family. He remembered Wilfy Rebimbus, and said his works, and especially the 'creativity' which he left behind will create waves in the coming days. This is a unique venture that will surely win the hearts of the people. Gifts with the golden words and works of Wilfy will be loved and cherished by all, he said.
Praising Meena Rebimbus for her humility and modest nature, the venture inaugurated by her will definitely prove to be a success, he added.
On behalf of all those gathered he congratulated the Rebimbus family and wished them all the best.
Fr Valerian Mendonca, director of Sandesha, Fr Denis D'Silva, administrative director of Fr Muller Medical College, Felix Lobo, Doha, Lancy Dsouza of Lancy Construction, Melvyn Rodrigues of Daijiworld and others were present along with Konkani musicians, artistes and well-wishers of Rebimbus family.
