Mumbai, Feb 20: Havyaka Welfare Trust, Mumbai held their annual award programme at BSKB association auditorium, Sion on Sunday morning, Feb 19. Goregaon Karnataka Sangha president Nithyananda D Kotian, chief guest, inaugurated the programme.

Havyaka Trust president Shivakumar P Bhagwath presided over the programme. Journalist Chandrashekar Palethady, the guest of honour presented the annual Karki Venkataramana Shastri Soori Award to the well-known teacher, social worker S S Bhat Lokeshwar and congratulated him.

The programme was held under the cooperation of Karnataka Malla Kannada daily newspaper. Havyaka trust vice president Sanjay Bhat and honorary chief secretary Narayana R Akadasa were on the dais.

The programme began after the prayer. Award committee convener Tanuja Hegde welcomed. Chidananda Bhagwath read the messages. Havyaka Sandesha monthly magazine honorary president, advocate Amitha S Bhagwath gave a key note address. Kala Bhagwath read the letter of felicitation. Shashikala Hegde introduced the guests and compered the programme. Vishnu Bhagwath gave a congratulatory speech. Shailaja Hegde rendered a vote of thanks.

Havyaka trust honorary treasurer Gautham Upadhya, joint secretary Vasanth Bhat, other office bearers, executive committee members, Karnataka bank manager Mallibhat Faniraj, Rohith Singh and other dignitaries were present. Yakshagana Sangama Sirsi performed a Yakshagana play titled ‘Ravanavasana’ enacted by Gajanana Bhat Tulageri.
