Mangaluru Feb 16: The 143rd annual sports day of St Aloysius College was held on Thursday February 16th at its centenary grounds.
Addressing the gathering, registrar of Mangalore University Dr Kishore Kumar C K urged students to learn one or two games before they leave their prestigious institution. “It will help you to stay fit and have a healthy life. The college has bagged a A++ grade accreditation from NAAC recently which shows that the college gives equal importance to extracurricular activities along with the academics.”
In his presidential remarks, Principal of St Aloysius College Dr Praveen Martis wished the students to perform well in the sports meet.
Meanwhile, four students were felicitated for their achievements.
Director of administrative block Dr Charles Furtado welcomed the gathering, and coordinator Dr Mahalinga Bhat K rendered the vote of thanks.
Registrar Dr Allwyn D Sa, finance officer Fr Vincent Pinto, manager of the meet Arun M D’Souza, and physical director Nithisa Rodrigues were also present.
