Mumbai, Jun 8: “Bunts Sangha is the hope for the community’s progress. Keep this in mind and contribute whatever mite possible. Several welfare activities are being planned for the community and these will be realized shortly. The vision of my father, the late Vasu K Shetty, has been realized today since I am happy about contributing generously in his memory for the Sangh,” said hotelier and Charisma Builders managing director Sudhir V Shetty.
He was speaking at the programme held for distribution of scholarship to the community’s economically weaker students, held at Radhabai T Bhandary auditorium of Buntara Bhavan here, recently.
Tunga Group of Hotels chairman and managing director Sudhakar S Hegde, and Sampoorna Hotels Private Limited chairman and managing director Padmanabha S Payyade, were the guests of honour on the occasion.
Bunts Sangha president Aikala Harish Shetty, in his presidential address, acknowledged the generous contribution of veterans of the community towards the social welfare and education of economically-weaker students.
Bunts Sangha vice-president chartered accountant Shankar B Shetty, honorary chief secretary V K Shetty, treasurer Prabhakar L Shetty, education and community welfare committee vice-president Mahesh S Shetty, joint treasurer chartered accountant Satish Shetty, education and social welfare committee secretary Bhaskar M Shetty, convener Ratnakar Shetty Mundkoor, and honorary treasurer Ashok Pakkala were present on the dais.
Ashok Pakkala compered the programme while V K Shetty proposed the vote of thanks.
