Bengaluru, Feb 5: JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy on Sunday attacked Union Minister Prahlad Joshi and alleged that the RSS wants to install him as the next chief minister, if BJP wins in the State.
Speaking to media persons at Dasarahalli in Bengaluru during the party’s Pancharatna Yatra, the former chief minister said Joshi is rattled by the JD(S) yatra and its popular response. "He is nobody to attack the Pancharatna Yatra as Navagraha Yatra and said the JD(S) will show him what the party is in the elections,’’ Kumaraswamy said.
In a scathing attack on Joshi, the JD(S) leader said that the Union Minister was a 'blue eyed boy of the Sangh Parivar'. "He (Joshi) belongs to the Brahmin community which split the Sringeri Mutt. He belongs to the Maratha Peshwa community that had damaged the Sringeri Mutt by splitting it. It is the same community which had assassinated Mahatma Gandhi,’’ he said.
Kumaraswamy said Joshi is not the old type of brahmins of the Malnad region, which believed in ‘’Sarvejanaa Sukhino Bhavanthu’’ philosophy or welfare of all communities unlike the Maratha Peshwa community brahmins like Joshi, which wants to destroy the country and kill the leaders who are nation builders.
The JD(S) leader said the RSS has already worked out plans in Delhi to install 8 persons as deputy chief ministers. "If necessary, I am ready to disclose the names of the 8 chosen by RSS,’’ he claimed.
Kumaraswamy said the JD(S) Pancharatna Yatra will be carried out continuously in Bengaluru till February 17, except for a break on Mahashivaratri.
The JD(S) yatra will continue in Hassan, Mysuru and Bengaluru, he said and declared that the party wants to win 8 to 10 seats in Bengaluru. The yatra will conclude by March 25, he said.
