Two Members of Ravi Poojary Gang Arrested: Revolver, Bullets, Seized

Mangalore, Jun 7: Two rowdies belonging to the notorious Ravi Poojary gang were arrested by the police here on Tuesday June 7.
Ever since the shootout incident took place in Kadri here on May 26, the police department had kept a vigil on the movements of several suspects. Though the arrested have no direct connection with the shootout bid, they were taken into custody for possession of weapons.
The arrested are Pradip Mendon and his associate Ravi. Pradip was in possession of a revolver and ten bullets, which were seized by the police during interrogation.
The Mangalore East Police have registered a case against the duo.
Pradip (39) is a resident of Nagesh Nagara in Adi Udupi and A S Ravi (27) is a resident of M G Road, Somavara Pet, Kodagu district.
The arrested are said to be associates of underworld don Ravi Poojary. Pradip Mendon is a notorious rowdy and already has two murder cases, four attempt to murder cases, two cases under arms act 1959, and two other cases against his name.
The operation was carried out by Mangalore city police squad, informed police commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh at a press meet on Tuesday June 7. DCP Mutthuraya among others were present.
