Holland: Buyao Mesmerizes Jazz Lovers in Europe - Performs at Int'l Festival

Holland, Jun 4: Music composer and singer Sidhanath Buyao mesmerised the Jazz listeners from across the world, who were present at International Jazz festival - Amersfoort, Holland, by singing Konkani and English songs, along with Internationally acclaimed Jazz saxophone player Sigrun
Jording, Steve on Bass and Goan noted Tabla player Yatin Talaulikar.
According to Buyao it was a great opportunity to introduce Konkani music in Holland, listening to endearing music of Goa, music lovers present there gave a good applaud.
Sidhanath Buyao, son of late Goem Shahir Ulhas Buyao, presented Konkani songs composed by his father, at two different venues at the Jazz festival. Jesu Christa, Deva Mhojea Deva, Channeache Ratim, Hanv Baba Novro, compositions of his father and some of his own compositions like Kaplavalii
tilli , Darshan di re Damodara were performed at the festival. He also sang “Holland oh Holland, you are in my heart ‘’ an English song penned by Sanjay Borkar, which was much appreciated by the listeners.
He also sang the songs of Goem shahir Ulhas Buyao, Uday Bhembre, John Aguiar, B B Borkar,
Manohar Rai Sardesai, Shridhar Kamat and Nandan Hegde Desai.
Meanwhile, well known musicians Monsorate brothers along with Olavo Rodrigues and Veeam Braganza, well known Singers from Goa were also a part of the Goan delegation and performed some Konkani and English tracks.
We could reach Konkani music to the International level only because of Armando Gonsalves of Heritage Jazz. He has contributed to the music field in a huge way and we thank him for his initiative to take Konkani music to this Jazz festival, said Buyao.
Many Goan origins in Paris, Germany, England, Holland and Mumbai also attended the festival.
